The 10th International Scientific Conference – “Globalization and International Challenges of Business” was held at GTU
The 10th nternational Scientific Conference, “Globalization and International Challenges of Business,” was held at Georgian Technical University, bringing together Georgian and international researchers, students, and representatives of partner universities to discuss current issues related to the global economy and the business environment.
Conference participants discussed trends in international business development, the challenges of digital transformation, and the role of innovation and education in the modern business environment. They also examined the impact of globalization on the economy, mechanisms for increasing competitiveness in international markets, and prospects for sustainable development.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Vice-Rectors of the Georgian Technical University, Professors Tamar Tsereteli and Tamar Lominadze; the Dean of the Faculty of Business Technologies, Professor Rusudan Kutateladze; members of the academic and scientific community; students; and representatives of leading foreign universities.
As Professor Tamar Lominadze noted, the conference aims to strengthen scientific cooperation, support young researchers, and expand international academic relations. According to her, the foundation for the International Scientific Conference “Globalization and International Challenges of Business” at the Faculty of Business Technologies was established in 2016.
“The conference is of particular importance because it brings together representatives of academic and scientific communities from different countries, including researchers, professors, young scientists, and students, who share a common goal: gaining a deeper understanding of the economic and business challenges facing today’s global environment, conducting scientific analysis, and identifying ways to address them. It is significant that the topics discussed at the conference address some of the most pressing contemporary issues, including digital transformation, the dynamics of international markets, the impact of innovative technologies on business, sustainable economic development, and the need for organizations to adapt to global competition. Therefore, this scientific forum serves not only as a platform for academic discourse but also as a valuable opportunity to exchange knowledge, experiences, and new ideas. I wish all participants every success.”

According to the Dean of the Faculty of Business Technologies, Professor Rusudan Kutateladze, the international scale of the conference and the active participation of foreign colleagues give the event special academic and scientific significance. She emphasized that international forums of this kind create an important platform where scientists, researchers, and academic representatives from different countries can share knowledge, research experience, and professional perspectives.
Professor Kutateladze also noted that, in the context of globalization, international cooperation in science and education has become especially important, as modern challenges extend beyond the boundaries of individual countries or regions and require joint, multifaceted academic approaches. The participation of foreign partners in the conference further strengthens its international status and contributes significantly to the development of scientific dialogue, the generation of new ideas, and the expansion of international research cooperation.
“It is important that scientists and researchers from leading foreign universities participate in the conference. In today’s academic environment, international cooperation and the exchange of experience play a crucial role in both scientific development and the improvement of educational quality. Meetings of this kind provide us with the opportunity to become familiar with the academic and practical experience of different countries, modern research approaches, and mechanisms for addressing the challenges associated with the global economy and business environment. It is especially important that our students are actively involved in these processes and have the opportunity to hear directly from representatives of the international academic community, learn about current trends, and participate in professional discussions. We are confident that such cooperation will further strengthen international scientific ties and promote the implementation of joint research projects in the future. I would also like to thank the Vice-Rector for Science of the University of Foggia, Professor Mariantonietta Fiore; student Emilio Casiello; and Professor Willy Heuser of the Saarbrücken University of Technology and Economics for their participation in the conference.”
– Professor Rusudan Kutateladze
During the plenary and thematic sessions of the 10th International Scientific Conference, participants presented scientific papers and research findings. At the event conclusion, the conference developed recommendations aimed at addressing contemporary challenges in international business and economic development.
