TUDA Idea Competition for Local and International Students: “A Neighbourhood Tailored to You!”

The Tbilisi Transport and Urban Development Agency (TUDA) announces the idea competition “A Neighbourhood Tailored to You! – Idea Competition for a New Urban Experience”. The competition is part of the Sustainable Urban Mobility in Tbilisi (SUM Tbilisi) project, carried out within the framework of German Financial Cooperation with the support of KfW Development Bank.

The competition aims to find practical ideas that benefit the community, drawing on the everyday experience and knowledge of people who live in the capital. The ideas should help improve the urban environment and mobility conditions in Marjanishvili and the surrounding areas.

Anyone with an everyday connection to the competition area can take part: an individual, a group, or an organisation that lives, works, studies or regularly travels there. Proposals from students on public spaces, safety, accessibility, environmental protection and the development of a modern urban environment are especially welcome.

Participants do not need professional or sector experience. In the first stage of the application, participants should describe the existing problem, its location, how the problem could be solved, and who the initiative would help and in what way.

The application deadline is 31 October 2026, 17:00. Applications can be submitted through the official online form, by email at ideacompetition@tbilisi.gov.ge, or in person at Tbilisi City Hall, 7 Zh. Shartava Street.

The authors of the winning ideas will receive non-monetary prizes.

An online information session about the competition is scheduled for 13 October 2026. TUDA representatives will introduce students to the competition’s goals and participation requirements.
