Guram Makharadze – 85
The Rector of the Georgian Technical University, Academician David Gurgenidze, on behalf of the university community, congratulates Professor Guram Makharadze of the Faculty of Power Engineering on his 85th birthday.
“Mr. Guram,
I sincerely congratulate you on your anniversary.
Your many years of scientific, educational, and professional activity are an important part of the development of Georgian electric power. As an esteemed employee of Georgian Electric Power, you have made a significant contribution to the development of the field, strengthening engineering thinking and educating the next generation.
More than 50 scientific papers and more than 15 textbooks created by your authorship still represent an important academic basis for both students, the youth and experienced researchers. These works are distinguished by high scientific value, relevance, and practical significance, which is why they are widely used in the educational and research process.
It is also worthy of special appreciation and recognition that more than 30 doctoral and master’s theses were successfully prepared and defended under your leadership. This is not only a testament to your high professionalism and fruitful scientific activity, but also clearly demonstrates your strong pedagogical and scientific school, which has made a significant contribution to the education of a new generation of scientists and specialists.
I wish you good health and many more successful years in the service of Georgian energy and science”.
– Academician David Gurgenidze
