GTU Rector Congratulates Professor Henry Kuprashvili on His 80th Birthday

On behalf of the university community, the Rector of the Georgian Technical University, Academician David Gurgenidze, congratulates Professor Henry Kuprashvili on his 80th birthday and wishes him health, longevity, and success. Professor Kuprashvili is a historian, journalist, political scientist, swimmer, world champion in biathlon and triathlon (modern pentathlon), six-time world champion in winter swimming, To the Merited Figure of Georgian Sport, President of the Georgian National Swimming Disciplines Federation, and a professor at the GTU Faculty of Law and International Relations; he is also a recipient of the Order of Vakhtang Gorgasali (2nd Class).

For the information: Henry Kuprashvili is the author of five monographs, seven textbooks, more than 100 scientific papers, and over 400 articles and interviews published in the press. He has also presented more than 50 papers at international scientific conferences. More than 15 doctoral dissertations have been successfully defended under his supervision. He is the author and director of “Politics on Trial” (Politika Samsjavroze) – a project comprising multi- and interdisciplinary educational, scientific, theoretical, and practical activities conducted at the Faculty of Law and International Relations of the Georgian Technical University.
