90th Open International Scientific Conference of Students Opens at GTU

The 90th Open International Scientific Conference of Students has opened at Georgian Technical University, bringing together more than 700 bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral students from the university’s 11 faculties, as well as international students from partner universities across Europe.

The conference was officially opened by GTU Vice-Rector Professor Tamar Tsereteli. The event was attended by participating students, their academic supervisors, and the university representatives, academic and administrative staff.

According to the Vice-Rector, the conference has united young people around science and knowledge, encouraging them to deepen their expertise, develop innovative ideas, and engage in research activities. Professor Tamar Tsereteli noted that it is students like these who constitute the intellectual strength of the university and represent a generation capable of finding innovative solutions to contemporary challenges while making a significant contribution to the country’s scientific and technological advancement.

Professor Tsereteli emphasized that the Student Scientific Conference provides a unique opportunity for young researchers to present the results of their work to the academic community, receive professional feedback, participate in scholarly discussions, and further develop their research skills. She noted that the growing number of participants and the diversity of topics presented each year demonstrate the increasing interest of youth in science, innovation, and research.

“This remarkable enthusiasm and level of engagement confirm that, for our young people, science, research, and the pursuit of new ideas are not only pathways to professional growth but also opportunities to address the challenges facing modern society. It is especially encouraging to see students becoming increasingly involved in scientific activities, exploring current issues, developing innovative approaches, and striving to contribute to the advancement of both their fields and the country as a whole. It is this generation of young researchers that forms the foundation of a strong and competitive state.

The 90th Open International Scientific Conference of Students once again demonstrates that the students of Georgian Technical University are ready to apply their intellectual, creative, and research potential to the development of society and the nation. The papers and ideas presented at the conference represent an important resource for future development, technological progress, and innovation. I am confident that among the participants gathered here today are future scientists, innovators, and leaders whose discoveries, successful projects, and significant achievements will help shape tomorrow’s world.”
