GTU Rector expresses condolences on the death of Temur Maisuradze, a distinguished aviation engineer
On behalf of the university community, Rector of the Georgian Technical University, Academician David Gurgenidze, expresses his condolences to the family, relatives and students on the death of Temur Maisuradze, a distinguished aviation engineer, Head of the GTU Natural Disasters Research Center and Scientific Director of the University Fab Lab, Doctor of Business Administration, Professor of Eastern European and Grigol Robakidze Universities, Academician of the Georgian Engineering Academy, author of four scientific papers, a monograph, 163 innovations and inventions, and a member of the Parliament of Georgia of the eighth convocation.
“On behalf of the Georgian Technical University, we express our deep sorrow over the passing of Professor Temur Maisuradze.
Mr. Temur was a scientist and engineer whose many years of work, authorial innovations, and inventions have had a distinctive impact on the development of Georgian aviation engineering. It is his innovative thinking and scientific achievements that have formed the basis for the planning and implementation of several significant technological advances and practical engineering decisions in the field.
He paid special attention to the upbringing of the younger generation – as a professor, he not only shared knowledge with his students but also instilled in them an interest in research, a sense of responsibility, and high standards of professional ethics. Today, his students continue the path of their teacher and proudly represent the Georgian Aviation Engineering School both in Georgia and abroad.
Temur Maisuradze’s professional legacy, which is invaluable in terms of scientific and technological development, will pave the way for a new generation of aviation engineers and researchers in the future.
