Mari Tebidze is a second-year doctoral student at the Faculty of Construction of Georgian Technical University and serves as Head of the Hydraulics Laboratory.
She believes that the university has played a decisive role in both her academic and professional development by enabling her to combine scientific research with practical work and reflecting on her career.
“My career path started during my studies at Georgian Technical University. I first worked as a laboratory assistant, then as an engineer-operator, and today I have the honor of leading the Hydraulics Laboratory. The university provided me with opportunities to gain practical experience, participate in international scientific forums, and contribute to research projects, all of which became an important foundation for my professional growth. I encourage young people to choose Georgian Technical University if they want to receive a high-quality education, engage in scientific research, and build a successful professional career. It’s noteworthy that during her years as a student, Mari Tebidze was actively involved in scientific research and academic activities. She participated in numerous national and international scientific conferences, earning first-place awards on several occasions. She is also the recipient of multiple academic scholarships and has been awarded the Young Scientist-Researcher Honorary Certificate in recognition of her achievements.
Her international academic experience includes participation in the European Geosciences Union General Assembly (EGU24) in Vienna. In addition, her research has been published in both Georgian and international scientific journals. In recognition of her ongoing research, Mari Tebidze was awarded a prestigious research grant from the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation.
